九月的时候，读了一半不想读了。倒不是写得不好，主要是主人公把创业时该犯的错误全犯了，简直是创业失败教科书。

2018年快读完毕，没读的人不必读了。大表姐的电影会来了。简单说，就是不创新的科技骗子+一帮恶棍律师事务所，竟然能够在美国将这个骗局掩盖了这么多年。George总统的孙子去做实习生发现了大问题，保持自己的良心，竟然还能被恶棍律师恶意闭嘴。简直就牛上天了！2018年11月正好是，基因编辑儿童在中国被广泛讨论，看来所谓的“科技狂人”由商业和资本的刺激之下，以后还是会层出不穷的。

我有个疑问：这样的创业项目骗骗我这个纯文科生也就罢了，为什么一堆有理工科博士学位的大佬们都能被她骗得团团转？各种风投专家都跟僵尸一样地冲她砸钱？难道都归结于Holmes的人格魅力就完事了？

一个令人抑郁的故事。本书最大的问题是它在前半部试图以上帝视角来讲述这个故事，但Carreyron并没有足够的信息来做这个上帝。因此前半部给我最大的感觉就是我产生的疑问全都得不到解答，在Carreyron开始用第一人称讲述这个故事之后就好了很多（我怀疑前半部是不是为了增加书的厚度，编辑要求他后来加上的）。Carreyron把Theranos多年成功的最大原因归结于Holmes的个人魅力。我不买这个帐。这也是我最大的疑问。Carreyron没能给我一个回答，很可惜也没办法知道更多。在我粗浅的理解中，Holmes昙花一现的“成功”充分展示了所谓elitists，或者说“上层阶级”的盲从与愚蠢。恐怕也正是这种愚蠢和其产生的严重后果才造成了今天世界的割裂和populism explosion。三星半。
