Holden, knowing he is to be expelled from school, decides to leave early. He spends three days in New York City and tells the story of what he did and suffered there.
About 30% into the book, I thought of quitting, I really did. It was depressing like hell. That’s the thing with teenagers, they hate everything just for the hell of it. That killed me. I was so afraid the angst and all is gonna bring me down that I almost...
评分As a matter of fact, I’ve read this novel a few years ago in Chinese edition, but that seems oblivious to me currently. So when I received the original edition as a Christmas present, I decided to read through it The title of the book—The Catcher in the R...

How do you know what you're going to do till you do it? The answer is, you don't. It damn near killed me!
Just finished reading this goddamn book. It made me depressed as hell, it really did.

评分Holden:"If you do, you start to miss everyone." Jack Kerouac: "I miss Neal Cassady" Tis the beat generation. The relationship between Old Phoebe and old Holden is beautiful.
