對內嚮的新定義方法：對外界刺激的反應程度，和Reward-seeking magnitude。更新瞭傳統上“內嚮即反社交”這一概念，而更多的是內外嚮的人有不同的社交模式和偏好。開篇指齣美國社會對personality和外嚮的強調是從鋼鐵革命，和戴爾卡內基對商業模式的鼓吹開始的。可惜更多的是基於美國社會的不足進行探討，個人認為並不適閤亞洲。而更為嚴重的一點是，這給人心安理得的不去進行社交找到瞭藉口（雖然並非作者本意）。這樣的書籍會讓讀者不自主地將自己歸類為內嚮或者外嚮，其實絕大部分人應該是處於二者之間。總體來說，誠意十足。我的中文已經退化到一定程度瞭。

買這本書是衝著聲譽去的，也看瞭作者在TED上的講話，但是低於我的期望。像是一本論文式的勵誌暢銷書，舉瞭很多研究來佐證內嚮型的人其實有多麼優秀，但對於相反的研究卻避而不談，明顯的information bais。對於社會對於內嚮者的偏見有一定的糾正作用，但僅此而已，一刀切的二元論來論述問題，除瞭正名的作用，沒有更深入的東西。

讀這本並不是為瞭去「驗證」或「正名」，彆搞得像內嚮的人天生矮一截一樣嘛，雖然作者總時不時讓我這麼覺得。最後幾章更有收獲，講如何對待身邊的內嚮/外嚮人，尤其是在成長階段的小孩子。總想起自己小時候那個裝作很外嚮的階段，不過迴頭看一下覺得做得還不錯呢。當然現在這種stay true的狀態更好。哦對作者確實有點絮叨，耐著性子解釋給你聽的感覺。
