甘丹·梅亞蘇（Quentin Meillassoux，1967—），法國人，1988年考入巴黎高等師範學院，是備受矚目的當代哲學的希望之星。2006年以來，他先後齣版瞭《有限性之後：論偶然性的必然性》、《數字與塞壬》、《形而上學和科學外世界的虛構》、《沒有將來的時間》和《迭代、反復、重復：無用的符號的思辨分析》等著述，廣受好評，也頗受爭議。

讀過Meillassoux的幾片論文，均是這本專著的縮略本。彼人對休謨以及Principle of Sufficient Reason的批判恰好提供瞭與康德截然不同的路徑。但是讀過海德格爾之後，覺得他相對主義的提法可能還是過於籠統，對前人哲學的批判比較粗糙。作者有著異常的纔華，初讀他論述偶然的必然簡直驚為天人，但是似乎作者對一些哲學傳統，尤其是分析哲學中，似乎注意的不夠。Goodreads裏這本書下麵用戶Jonathan Norton的一條評論對作者的這些缺點論述甚詳：https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2199850.After_Finitude
