He is the author of four works of non-fiction: Eat, Pray, Eat, which was nominated for a British Travel Press Award in 2012; Just As Well I'm Leaving, nominated for the Irish Times first writers award; Sacré Cordon Bleu, a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week; and Sushi and Beyond, winner of the Guild of Food Writers award in 2010. He lives in Denmark with his wife and children.

重溫瞭北歐旅行的感覺，跟著作者走馬觀花瞭一番。
评分因為他和我一樣都是住在丹麥的外國人，所以很多觀察對我來說都很“親切”。有時候也會想如果是一個北歐人來寫這本書又會是個什麼樣子，但北歐人自己又真的能理解自己嗎？
评分這本書簡直可以作為expat旅居的寫作範本。作者是常年給英國報刊撰文的記者和專欄作傢，在丹麥定居瞭十年。雖然有不少地方有誇張和賣弄風趣之處，但是整個對北歐社會的描述十分到位。我覺得最難得的是那種北歐文化氛圍的解讀，隻有真正長時間生活在這裏纔能瞭解得那麼深入。強烈推薦。
