著者簡介

潘卡吉‧米什拉（Pankaj Mishra）

1969年生於印度，並於新德裏的尼赫魯大學取得英美文學碩士。米什拉以撰寫小說，並以Butter Chicken in Ludhiana這本關於印度的社會學研究報告聞名，另外還為《紐約書評》、《紐約時報》、《衛報》撰寫評論。2008年他被選為英國皇傢文學學會（Royal Society of Literature）的會員，2012年，《外交政策》（Foreign Policy）雜誌提名他為「全球百大思想傢」之一，《經濟學人》則稱他為「薩依德的繼承者」，並列其《從帝國廢墟中崛起》為「年度好書」。

譯者：黃中憲

政治大學外交係畢，專職翻譯，譯有《明代宦官》、《維梅爾的帽子》、《大探險傢》、《帖木兒之後》、《成吉思汗》、《劍橋伊斯蘭史》、《非典型法國》等。
