As in Different Seasons (1982), King takes a mostly nonfantastic approach to grim themes. Now, as then, these tales show how a skilled storyteller with a good tale to tell can make unsettling fiction compulsively readable.

四篇比較扭麯的中篇小說，很久之前看的，忘瞭具體題目瞭。特彆喜歡那篇主角報復自己老朋友的故事。越是所謂“好朋友”就越容易成仇。本書就素質而論夠得上5星。但是現在評價，尤其是已經看過瞭最新的《11/22/63》，隻好委屈它一個4星瞭。

看完"Big Driver"後推薦看電影《三塊廣告牌》"A Good Marriage"後推薦電影《八毫米》。If you’re going into a very dark place, then you should take a bright light, and shine it on everything. If you don’t want to see, why in God’s name would you dare the dark at all? I never truckled; I never took off my hat to Fashion and held it out for pennies. By God, I told them the truth.
