As in Different Seasons (1982), King takes a mostly nonfantastic approach to grim themes. Now, as then, these tales show how a skilled storyteller with a good tale to tell can make unsettling fiction compulsively readable.

Stephen King is the author of more than fifty books, all of them worldwide bestsellers. 开始重新更在读书单。有点想快点看完这本书，想看小清新有很多爱的暖小说。确实是重口味惊悚类型，1922真的是将怕老鼠的我看得就要读不下文字了，春节看到现在才看了63%，才到第二个故事。但是可读性很强，英文不难，偶有几个不懂的也不影响理解

挑了两篇短的看了看。这个人有意识地操纵你的情绪（有包邮许多斜体字和回车哦）。大家都喜欢这种我觉得挺bullhead的“恶”么？很无趣啊~

四篇比较扭曲的中篇小说，很久之前看的，忘了具体题目了。特别喜欢那篇主角报复自己老朋友的故事。越是所谓“好朋友”就越容易成仇。本书就素质而论够得上5星。但是现在评价，尤其是已经看过了最新的《11/22/63》，只好委屈它一个4星了。

我承认我刚读完一篇，可仅凭这一篇就可以给满分了。1922是这本书里面我最不想读的故事，因为它必然发生在1920年代，必然是斯蒂芬·金喜欢写的那种穷山恶水，我觉得已经不会有新意了。但是，我又有按顺序读的习惯，所以逼迫自己读1922。结果是惊喜，这篇1922真的想恶梦，恶梦里...
