讀書如抽絲係列，易讀，文字簡單流暢，情節非常簡單，主要是情感上的交流和成長，作為一個中年男子如何承上啓下，如何平衡父母、兒子和自己的人生。片段和細節細膩，情感真摯。看完第一部分覺得一般，全書看完覺得還是有其暢銷的特質的，即使英文詞匯一般也能輕鬆閱讀，簡潔明瞭地把一段真實的生活和情感呈現，還有一些思考和幽默吐槽，作為一本休閑讀物足夠閤格瞭。
