寫得沒有關於倫勃朗的那本輕鬆，有的學徒工用盡九牛二虎之力的氣喘籲籲。跟Panofsy相比，顯得有些稚嫩。她好喜歡Vermeer，從幾段描寫中可以見齣。

评分非常重要的書。內容和思路原創性很強、作者的一些論點也頗為大膽，格局灑脫但是不鬆散。其實從某種程度上可以算是一種去中心化的嘗試，具體有兩點，1.基本完全脫離意大利的語境和assumption，也很少refer到意大利的藝術傳統，而是完全從荷蘭的文化智識傳統梳理方式荷蘭人的觀看方式，2.也脫離瞭傳統藝術史以Vasarian的方法、圖像學和形勢分析為核心的思路。前麵章節和Bacon結閤在一起的部分非常咱。美中不足的是感覺作者有點急著想把自己的論點說清楚而稍微有點不那麼從容，不過當然是瑕不掩瑜~
