评分这本书最大的不同就是理论介绍很多，而且采用很好的几何学到方法解释，非常清楚。后面一部分介绍具体到算法，只介绍了重要的算法，如果能于Numerical Opimization结合看会很好。此外，还可以verycd上找到视频讲座，那个老外发音相当标准。；）

评分书本身写得循序渐进、非常结构化，读起来很轻松。个人感觉理论部分受益最多，应用部分因为有learning的经验读起来很爽，算法实现部分中的收敛性分析如果觉得难跳过也不影响阅读。没做习题，回头再说。总之，好书一本。
