写的都很透彻了，但游戏规则依然在，想逆着浪潮走的是勇者，迎着浪平衡规则的也是勇者。要以怎样的姿态存活？先是接纳自我吧…我们缺的是美丽吗？好像是的。不过更稀缺的是“不美”也自信。

解构世间定义的“美”对女性无处不在的挟持，在出版近30年后的今天仍振聋发聩。尤其喜欢写female sexuality的"sex"一章以及写整形美容的“violence"一章，非常深刻。部分观点的具体论证似乎不是很令人信服，但总体值得一读。2018年三八妇女节前夕购于伦敦查令十字街Foyles，Vintage Classics系列。
