Hofstede父子是跨文化研究界的大佬無疑瞭。本書是第三版擴充版，基本跨文化研究必引本書。本書揭示瞭某國傢在某價值觀上相對水平，通過大樣本收集揭示瞭某些價值觀之間的相關關係，例如集體主義和權威距離的正相關。本書第二章和第七章提到瞭在中國價值調查（CVS）中發現的一個新維度long-term orientation，闡釋瞭儒傢文化的獨特性。個人認為本書適閤作為工具書翻看，不需要精讀。此外，世界價值調查（WVS）研究一直在更新數據，詳情可見http://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/wvs.jsp
