One evening in December 1972, Jean McConville, a widowed mother of ten, was abducted from her home in Belfast and never seen alive again. Her disappearance would haunt her orphaned children, the perpetrators of this terrible crime and a whole society in Northern Ireland for decades to come.

The moment I completed the book, I couldn’t help but reflect on the dark history of Northern Ireland and several figures that were part of the history, namely, Jean McConville, Gerry Adams, the Price sisters (Dolours and Marian), and Brendan Hughes. By “d...

I fell for Brendan Hughes. Not a minute passed without me thinking about him since I closed the book more than 24hours ago.
