在AMS最难熬的那一个月读的这本书。那时候刚分手，每天浑浑噩噩，动不动就哭。买这本书也是因为the narrow road to the deep north.我也在北方的北方，我也别无选择。

语言真的太优美，带一点意识流，就好像能用第一视角看到情节的发生 // 丛林那一段只写了一天的情节，但真的太压抑，甚至要感激作者没有写下去 // 作者对战争没有太多基于善恶的批判，每一个人都将长久地经历人性的挣扎，直至生命最后一刻 // Darky的身世反转手法在前两年的布克奖里也有用到过 // 最后一小节突然从现代闪回到丛林里的那天晚上，一整天的生死存亡终于结束了，静静地坐下来读她的信，读上去鼻子发酸。

看完异常沉重，战争、生命，以及成年人复杂的感情……比起叙事主线，更喜欢作者意识流似的“闲扯”。
