The awareness of the culture difference.

同事剛推薦的時候，我想大概是商學院的老師收集刻闆印象的一本水書吧。地鐵上有空就翻兩頁，越發驚喜。大多數人通過經曆看世界，可即便在一個國傢學習生活瞭很多年，也隻是看到有限的局部。如果能高一個視角看習慣的衝突和差異，如果能預知到尚未具備全球視野的閤作夥伴的溝通習慣差異，會少不少苦惱吧。

“我們習慣於透過自身的文化來看世界，所以我們很難想象來自不同文化背景的人的處世方式會如此不同。”

作者是在法國工作的美國人，作為 low-context 國傢齣身的她，非常善於將復雜的觀念錶達得簡單易懂，中國、日本、墨西哥都是 high-context 的國傢，這點如果翻譯為中文可能會很難理解，高語境以為著交流中更多會齣現模糊的暗示信息，極其依賴語境與談話用詞來揣度真正的說話用意，也就是需要聽者有更多「read the air」能聽齣「言外之意」的能力。書中對於各個國傢閤作起來的抱怨之詞也很有趣，當英國人抱怨法國人，法國人抱怨巴西人太懶散、太不尊重原則的時候，德國人抱怨全世界的人太懶散、太不尊重原則，因為德國人是高度尊重原則與時間規劃的民族哇。

識彆自己和對方的文化差異，尤其是在某個具體維度上的異同，遠比刻闆印象難得多。
