约翰•斯坦贝克（John Steinbeck, 1902-1968）,美国文学家，1962年获诺贝尔文学奖。

一生共创作27部作品，其中包括喜剧小说《罐头厂街》，跨类型作品《伊甸之东》，普利策奖获奖作品《愤怒的葡萄》，旅行作品《横越美国》等。

小时候看过珍珠之后，瞬间爱上斯坦倍克 George和Lennie……这是一本关于孤独的书孤独是最大的渴望最后又成了最终的惩罚 Gary Sinise的同名电影也拍得非常不错

Life is hard. I do need a kick to think (write) more of this book. 故事不长，但隐喻太多，工作一天脑子不愿动。这书估计还得去找点Guided questions和book club guides带了重读一遍，还得自己买一本然后做笔记。= =
