He is on the board of the Kingsborough Community College Foundation. He is the coauthor, with David Shipley, of Send: Why People Email So Badly and How to Do It Better.

越是亲近的人越是有沟通障碍，满满的情感却难以说出口。和患绝症的母亲一起读书，交流心得，以这样的方式陪她走完人生的最后一程，作者的这份心思实在感人。类似的，龙应台的《亲爱的安德烈》，与正在走上自己人生道路的儿子书信，谈论时政，了解他的想法，价值观，一样感人。我们都应该多与家人表达情感，开不了口的就换种方式！
