对于已经从事古典学研究的人来说，这里面的内容近乎常识，但是对于刚刚开始接触古典学的学生而言，这里面的东西却是救命的，因为最难过的地方莫过于，很多东西老师觉得你应该知道，因此往往需要的时候才提上一句，但是学生其实就是不知道，也没有人告诉你，也不知道去哪里看，结果等老师提问的时候场面一下子非常尴尬，被老师嘲讽……这本书的好处就在于删繁就简，把古典学领域的常识用不难的语句，以类似提要的形式，讲得清清楚楚，并且提供基本的入门材料和网上资源。毕竟，常识只有知道了才算常识，接触无门就无所谓常识了吧????

范围广，但处处浅尝辄止，bibliography还可以，不过还是Blackwell的那套更好（当然也更厚）
