菲茨杰拉德（F.Scott Fitzgerald，1896-1940）著名美国小说家。从1920年开始创作，以《人间天堂》一举成名。他的小说生动地反映了20年代“美国梦”的破灭，展示了大萧条时期美国上层社会“荒原时代”的精神面貌。直到1940年去世时，仍在创作作品《最后的大亨》，在他有限的创作生涯里，推出了包括《人间天堂》《了不起的盖茨比》《夜色温柔》等多部长篇小说和150多部短篇小说。

This novel follows not a single rule of literary arts. It does not play with POV, yet it has a confusing format. Not every character plays a significant part in the story - some of them just appear. Disregarding all these,he is just effortlessly brilliant.Yet It's daunting to think of that Fitzgerald predicted his own fall and doom in this book.

评分刚看完《有闲阶级论》又立即看最后一部没看过的菲茨杰拉德（完成的）长篇真是说不出来的奇妙感觉：是啊，为什么要工作，忙忙碌碌如行尸走肉和沉醉在酒精中的区别无非是一个对社会产生点效用，相同的是麻痹的灵魂。那个上流的“场”好像没有沃顿笔下那么虚幻到不真实，而是如同克林姆特的黄金阿黛尔、马勒精致而惆怅的旋律，或者另一位菲茨杰拉德的旖旎嗓音，栩栩如生几乎能听到、看到、嗅到、感觉到。纽约那些熟悉的地名，而我甚至在一百二十多街Clarement 住过！依旧是美到极致舒缓如流水般的文字，脑中变幻Amory Blaine, Dick Diver 和 Jay Gatsby, 然后是Rosalind, Nicole, 和Daisy，但终究是老费自己和他的Zelda。
