It is a fantastic comprason between Europe and China, factually I say, ancient China. Although what Mr.Ku described, explained and speculated has been almost wiped out in the recent 100 years, Mr.Ku's definite, refined suimise and summary can no doubt make sense of what Confucious, Mencious and Emperor was operation in our nation in the last 2000 years. It was my first time to read a book which is full of famliar knowledge and theories but English-version.

辜老先生有時候好囉嗦啊。所以少一星。但是英文用詞很豐富，翻譯孔子孟子也很到位，還會引經據典。

拼錯的地方太多瞭

還以為是辜鴻銘先生行文拖遝，原來是翻譯的問題。雖然邏輯上有點牽強詭辯，但是不得不佩服他的博學。這書現在不能給中國人看，怕斷章取義，乾瞭傻事。應該在民族情緒低落的時候看看，阿Q一下。

以前只是影影绰绰的知道辜鸿铭是清末的一个“怪才”，是有名的铁杆“保皇派”；便想当然的以为他不过是个腐朽的封建遗老，能背点四书五经，吟那么一首两首的风月诗词；历史的洪流把他抛弃，将他所有的言论都擦个干干净净，也应当不会有任何遗憾处。读了他的《中国人的精神》，...
