和弗蘭肯斯坦異麯同工：好奇的科學天纔親手設計齣自己的噩夢。大概所有人內心都有Dr Jekyll和Mr Hyde的博弈和製衡。Dr Lanyon在卡文迪許（！）廣場得知真相後驚嚇而死，我仿佛看到大群笑而不語。I have been made to learn that the doom and burthen of our life is bound for ever on man's shoulders, and when the attempt is made to cast it off, it but returns upon us with more unfamiliar and more awful pressure. 欲望越是壓抑會越強，一旦釋放同樣會更強甚至反噬理性；製欲吧。

一百多年前的作品，閱讀難度挺大的，語言風格較為繁復，很繞。有年代的經典文學作品果然是英文水平的試金石啊，哎，路漫漫其修遠兮，繼續修煉吧。

算是第一本一口氣讀完的原版小說。情節緊湊，很吸引人。讀得很過癮，不會感覺枯燥，無聊。其實，上瞭大學之後我很少能完整的讀完一本小說瞭。怎麼說呢，我們通常會把問題歸咎於時代，快節奏，淡漠，但我們卻忽視瞭我們人本身——人性。每個人看似簡單，人海蕓蕓，簡單到難以對旁人産生影響，而於我們自己，復雜的人性編織著一張醜陋罪惡的網，另一方麵還吐露微笑宣告世麵。

化身博士是一本小书，也就100页左右（数字上网查的，我看的kindle)。所以老实讲，你说你想看故事吧，100多页实在很难讲出什么庞大的故事来；你说你想看科幻吧，书里的硬科幻又确实乏善可陈；你说你想看惊悚吧，倒也没怎么描写血腥场景渲染诡异氛围；再说你想看悬疑吧，书名却早...  

小時候看過同名小說改編的電影，情節不記得了，就知道挺嚇人的。後來知道是史蒂文森寫的故事，就勉為其難看了這個英文簡易版。雖然已經不覺得有什麽可怕，但還是不喜歡故事里的那種陰鬱氣氛。這個故事也許是生物科幻類讀物的鼻祖吧。
