著者简介

速水佑次郎于1956年毕业于东京大学，获文学学士；1960年获美国爱荷华州立大学农业经济学博士。此后，他在日本和美国多个大学和研究机构任职。1966-1986年间，任日本京都大学经济学教授；1986-2000年间，任日本青山大学国际经济学教授；1995-1996年间，任美国康奈尔大学国际事务讲席教授。目前，速水佑次郎是国际发展高等研究基金会研究生院主席，日本国立政策研究大学客座教授，国际农业经济学会终身名誉会员。1999年，速水佑次郎获得了日本政府颁发的紫色勋章。

Vernon Wesley Ruttan (1924–2008) was a well-known development economist at the University of Minnesota, where he was Regents Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Economics and Applied Economics.[1] Ruttan's research focused on agricultural development, induced innovation, technical change and productivity growth, institutions, and development assistance policy.
