對於概念的梳理。

VSI裏麵中等偏下的一本。無論是formation還是靜態的description都是在討論nation，而對nationalism的刻畫顯得有些粗糙……概念梳理還算可以，史學考察卻欠精細，看短評說作者是研究宗教的，不過沒怎麼看齣來【大概我對近代宗教研究不熟吧】。中譯沒怎麼看。

全書圍繞兩個方嚮展開--Nation的定義以及形成方式；造成us同them之間分歧的原因，故個人認為書的內容和書名沒有很深的聯係，有點跑題。另外第六章一神論與國傢形成之後鮮有亮點，不值得讀。語言不夠生動而且非常晦澀，一句一段的行文很常見。總的來說不算是很好的簡論。
