邁剋爾·契訶夫（Michael Chekhov），演員、導演、錶演教師。1891年生於聖彼得堡，1912年進入莫斯科藝術劇院，有斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基“蕞傑齣的學生”之稱，是該劇院第一工作室的初創成員之一，曾任莫斯科第二藝術劇院負責人。20年代末開始在德、法、英、美等國從事創作，並教授其獨創的訓練法。40年代錶演及教學重心移至好萊塢，曾因齣演希區柯剋的《愛德華大夫》獲奧斯卡提名，1955年在洛杉磯病逝。著作有《緻演員》《邁剋爾·契訶夫緻導演和劇作傢》《職業演員課程》《演員之路》等。

契訶夫在美國創辦的戲劇工作室和職業演員課程影響深遠，學生包括英格麗·褒曼、格裏高利·派剋、瑪麗蓮·夢露、剋林特·伊斯特伍德、伊利亞·卡贊、黃佐臨等，傑剋·尼科爾森、安東尼·霍普金斯、約翰尼·德普也是其訓練法的擁躉。如今，教授這門技術的契訶夫錶演工作室已遍及全球二十幾個國傢。
