Edmund Feldman is an American educator and art critic. He is a professor emeritus at the University of Georgia.Feldman received a Bache lor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University in 1949. Two years later he earned his Master of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1953, Edmund was given a Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University.
Feldman was a president of the National Art Education Association from 1981 to 1983. He is a member of the Royal Society of Arts, College Art Association, United States Society for Education through Art.

评分是針對美國美術教育而寫的。有不少啓示，也有不少對於中國來說是太“進步”……
评分作者觀點不錯，突齣很多需要解決的問題，大框架不錯。
评分首先，很贊同作者的美術教育的範疇遠不止簡單的美術教學觀點。其次，本書探討瞭非常多的麵，藝術加教育加哲學這麼龐大的切入點，讓被論文荼毒瞭的我有點不知所措，寫書大概不同於寫論文。然後，本書裏略顯虛空和形而上的觀點，由於經驗不足和文化差異，對我來講比較晦澀。最後，贊一下本書關於藝術教育哲學的見解，教育大類的世界觀方法論有很多，藝術教育的這是第一本，推薦。
