Bui lives in Berkeley, California, with her son, her husband, and her mother. The Best We Could Do is her debut graphic novel.

评分很多地方都似乎是先写了脚本，然后再配图的，word-specific作品。这直接导致很多地方的图像更像是插图（有利有弊，好的方面是隐喻的图像多了），而且由于作者技法表现能力有限，人物画得没有区分度（这也是图像和文字的区别，图像在限定内容方面有时候差于文字，但不是所有时候都这样；文字总是有选择的，图像更完整却也更模糊），部分段落讲得不清楚。
