著者简介

José Eduardo Agualusa was born in Huambo, Angola, in 1960, and is one of the leading literary voices in Angola and the Portuguese-speaking world.His novel Creole was awarded the Portuguese Grand Prize for Literature, and The Book of Chameleons won the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize in 2007. Agualusa lives between Portugal, Angola and Brazil.

"A General Theory Of Oblivion" An amazing book with a nice title and impressive cover. It is a story about a lady who lives in an apartment for more than thirty years and has never gone out once, because she is afraid of open spaces. This book is given a strong historical background bases on the Angolan independence.

太美了，无论是语言还是故事本身。读着Ludo在28年里近乎solitude的状态中千万种思绪，她的窘迫与坦然，她与狗的交流和与孩子的相处，她写在本子上后来写到墙上的日记，都太能够打动人。非洲的历史文化风情，也潜藏在她所喜爱的石榴里的晨光之中，熹微却又深入人心。作者的写作手法无疑增强了小说的悦读性和魅力，长短交织的章节文字甚至有一点解谜意味。在零碎的拼图式的叙事中洞察了最完整的人和历史。

关于安哥拉内战，我之前其实并不了解。作者的写作技巧无疑是很熟练的，小说以Ludovica将自己与世隔绝三十年的故事为主线，同时把其他几个主要人物在安哥拉独立后的遭遇像悬疑片一样逐渐编织起来，结构巧妙，也很耐读。全书没有历史小说那种厚重的感觉，反而透出如梦似幻的气息，与书名相呼。
