看不下去，人物太多太扯瞭，有點像穿越小說...

薄薄的三百多頁七八代的故事一條線族在非洲gold coast 涉及英國殖民者部落戰爭白人傳教士、部落神秘學（預言啊看到靈魂啊）、迦納獨立、移民，另一條在美國南方奴隸製度，棉花種植園，南北戰爭，convict leasing system, Great Migration, 城市中黑人聚居區的住房問題，wars on drugs，黑人吸毒率，黑人母親單身撫養小孩 blahblah 不斷變化的敘述口吻想起福剋納但也沒感受到Yaa Gyasi自己的口吻各章有好有壞吧個人喜歡 james, yaw, marjorie / ness, h, willie 第二本非裔美國文學，更喜歡Adichie一點????

幾百年的曆史，跨越瞭七代人的故事，兩條綫交替，是我讀過很有創意的書寫角度，每代人雖然也就二十幾頁的篇幅，但是從上下的承接中，卻又能看到她們一生的故事。
