刚读完Pachinko，再读这本觉得有点类似，像一篇篇短篇接起来的。读者刚对一个人物产生点感情，就让那么多悲苦、几十年的希望破灭一笔带过戛然而止。可是，后面的阅读体验远远超过了Pachinko，即使是猜到了结局，还是为了苦尽甘来而长舒一口气

特别棒的故事，黑人／历史题材中的佼佼者，故事结构和文笔大概甩Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie几条街！如果能坚持每天上下班地铁读书，那么一周一本还是attainable的！
