The author's fame, the mathematician's drove me to read this autobiography. Weil narrated his youth experience and how he grew up as a mathematician. However, the most impressive and dramatic part is how he was deeply involved in the world war 2. Math cannot represent or occupy the whole life. Life itself is the eternal theme.
