著者简介

吴敬琏，首届中国经济学杰出贡献奖得主。1954年毕业于复旦大学经济系。现任国务院发展研究中心研究员，中国社会科学院研究生院教授，北京大学经济学院博士生导师，中欧国际工商学院宝钢经济学教席教授，国际经济学会（IEA）执行委员会顾问，国际管理学会（IAM）会员。

他在中国最早提出并倡导市场化改革，是“市场取向改革论”的主要代表人物。他也是经济体制比较研究学科的开创者之一，引介传播了众多对中国经济理论和改革实践有益的现代经济理论和国际经验。他在不同时期的理论主张和政策建议（如建设法治的市场经济、建立现代公司制度、国有经济的战略性改组、大力发展中小企业、反对权贵资本主义、推动增长模式转型等），推动了中国改革事业的前进。

主要研究领域为理论经济学、比较制度分析、中国社会转型的理论和政策。

这本书很多方面是介绍性质的，是对改革、开放所涉及的一些主要方面的说明，贵在全面。如果对经济学知识有些背景，可以很快地读完。有几个问题：1）政府的权力转移、放权让利，包括分灶吃饭、权力下乡，如何影响了收入分配和再分配；2）市场扩张、政府权力转移和经济结构的变化...

书中内容很丰富，有些章节讲的也还不错，思路很清晰，让我们对近代以来中国的经济发展历程有个大概的了解。但是编写有点避重就轻的意思，很多棘手的问题反而没怎么提到。 作为经济类书籍没太强的专业性，就当充实课外知识读读还不错。
