故事狗血（一群女人成天腦子裏都在想什麼啊），但語言elegent到令人自卑，這還是Austen19歲的作品。。

幾乎全部用書信撐起的一本短篇小說。沒有場景描寫，沒有直接對話，有的隻是多位寄信人的主觀意見。從看似不連貫的敘述中，一個在同性中頗有微詞，卻讓年輕異性無法抗拒的風流寡婦的故事躍然紙上。Lady Susan 永遠不會驚慌失措，永遠有下一招。彆人的手指戳在她的脊梁骨上，仿佛說著“你不就是仗著自己長得美嗎”，然後她點點頭：“是啊。”Austen流暢的長句也的確閤瞭Mrs. Vernon說Lady Susan口纔瞭得會說漂亮話的說法。

如果想說話聽起來像個地道的英國貴族，那麼就多讀讀簡奧斯丁吧。

英文比較古老。書信的形式講故事很委婉，但人物個性十分鮮明。
