著者簡介

埃爾溫·薛定諤（1887-1961），奧地利物理學傢。20世紀的前30年中物理學經曆瞭一次大革命，解決瞭微觀運動的基本規律問題。薛定諤生活在這個時代，1926年他提齣瞭波動力學，是量子力學的標準形式之一。薛定諤因此而獲得諾貝爾奬。後來他的興趣轉嚮生命科學，1943年寫的《生命是什麼》，為分子生物學的誕生作瞭概念上的準備。

我曾經以為科學隻是科學，是研究這個世界的客觀工具，但是真的如此嗎？作為科學傢的薛定諤，他深入思考科學與哲學之間的關係，而當年學校裏的我，那麼固執地崇拜科學。然而必須通過感官完成的科學觀察與實驗，真的可以客觀嗎？薛定諤說不可能。這是每個人進大學之前必須要讀的書。這纔是正確的科學觀和世界觀。順便推薦薛定諤的“自然與希臘”。讀完這本書，瞬間路轉粉。中文翻譯看不懂的親，讀英文的吧。

不是這版，沒看到羅傑·彭羅斯的序。舊版《自然與古希臘》《科學與人文主義》《理解的未來》《是否存在量子躍遷》《科學世界觀的特性》其他幾篇。

翻译看得我很崩溃，有些地方甚至是前言不搭后语，术语的名称一塌糊涂。明明是受精卵的，他硬是翻译成卵细胞，要知道这是完完全全不同的两个名词啊！！前面用的是“两套”染色体，后面又变“两组”了，如果是没有一些生物和物理基础知识的，恐怕会看得晕死过去，真真可怜了一本...
