（读的版豆瓣找不到）感谢周薇老师感谢图图！虽然被剧透的相当彻底…还记得《纯真年代》结尾的震撼。

英文版的环境描写非常出彩 但情节就一般啦

4 一股濃濃的Bronte味道，敘事結構從Wuthering Heights那裡借來，Zeena則是Jane Eyre裡的閣樓瘋女人，被大雪所掩蓋無愛可訴的貧乏農地，註定了主角宿命性的悲劇。Wharton的語言太美了，濃縮在四個白夜裡，如冬日的蝴蝶般短暫幻滅的熱情，以及隨之而來二十多年的無盡折磨，就像張愛玲的金鎖記裡的月亮，冷眼旁觀地看著這三人殘酷的命運。

不会写书评，这个故事是我读过的经典的故事之一。吕叔湘的翻译真是绝了。感情细腻，语言生动朴实。伊坦跟玛特的爱情确实让人叹息，多好的一对啊，偏偏不能在一起，只能双双选择覆灭。若是伊坦舍弃细娜，和玛特远走高飞。实际上他也顾不了细娜了，他想把田地和伐木场留给细娜，...
