Looking at eleven plays, Strauss shows that this confrontation is essentially one between poetry and philosophy, and that poetry emerges as an autonomous wisdom capable of rivaling philosophy.

the funniest book by Strauss ever. Very insightful on the connection between Aristophanic politics and poetic wisdom.

评分只读了frogs 部分。
评分依然比较意识流，但每章篇幅都不长，所以比较好把握。开篇就问了重要而独到的问题：为什么《云》以失败结局，而《鸟》和《财神》以胜利结局。对情节的关注细致入微，不时有惊人之语，但大多数解读都可以接受（可能是我最早接触施派就是通过悲剧的原因）
