作者简介
B·格林，毕业于哈佛大学，在牛津大学获博士学位，是罗德学者（Rhodes Scholars）。1990年，他来到康奈尔大学物理系，1995年被聘为教授，1996年到哥伦比亚大学任物理学和数学教授。他曾在20多个国家开过普及和专业讲座，公认在超弦理论中有过许多开拓性的发现。他现在住纽约绮色佳。

看起来有点费劲，翻译有一定的问题。但是配合BBC的《The elegant Universe》一起看会很有意思。

评分这本讲弦论的书挺开脑洞的。对于一个还没有办法被证实或者证伪，更像是一套数学框架的理论，能讲成这样已经很好了。当然我看完还是不懂弦论。最大的收获其实是怎么想象理解高维空间，另外用弦论去修正标准宇宙模型那部分也很脑洞大。 不过需要吐槽的是感觉作者写到最后不知道...
评分最初读这本书是为了练听力,从emule下了朗读录音.听了半天才恍然大悟:原来这就是那本<宇宙的琴弦>啊!不得不说,虽然第一推动丛书为中国的科普做了很大贡献,可是很多书的翻译实在差强人意.当然这也有点怪汉语本身,不那么适合表达严谨复杂的逻辑关系,而且很多科技名词还没有对应的...
