福柯对历史学研究，历史学书写的影响不言而喻。然而这本书也没有达到introduction中所说的希望对福柯的历史学研究方法甚至福柯的历史主义的反思。个人兴趣而言，值得一看的有第二章Foucault on sexuality in Greco-Roman Antiquity;以及最后一张problematization as a mode of reading history。
