如果说C++ Primer是像师傅带徒弟一般手把手带着你操练，那么这本TC++PL则像是老师傅讲至酣处自顾自地历数自己对这门语言的特性理解与运用经验。不管从广度上还是深度上，本书均远超C++ Primer，更多了不少老师傅在语言设计层面的经验之谈。不过，不管从语言上还是样例上，本书对新手都难称友好，不少地方读来晦涩难懂，适合作为C++ Primer后第二本C++书籍。
