not a big fan of O'Reilly and his conservative view of the politics and the country, and the tea party movement is really mislabeled on many levels. that being said, the book is historically correct, and O'Reilly did many research work ahead. Lincoln had always been one of my favorite president, and I believe the book showcased my reason well.

嗯,BILL O REILLY的敘事角度是OK的。文筆可以有改進的餘地。中間殺死林肯當天的敘事偏冗長而失去重點瞭，可以再剪裁一下。值得贊賞的是第一部分，將林肯遇刺的事件置於李將軍最後魚死網破的掙紮以及南北戰爭的末段的大時代背景之下，敘述戰爭時還是寫得很好場景很宏大的。

telling the story of the last few days of Lincoln's life, the book takes full use of the technique as a contemporary thriller to avoid being a dull regurgitation of dates,facts and figures, which makes it a suitable introduction for people like me whose knowledge of Civil War era is extremely limited to reach the history of the assassination.
