The middle east history is amazing, and sometimes, pathetic. this books displays to us that, in addtion to France and uk's collonialism in africa and asia, they also did a lots of evil wicked collonialism in middle east. the reason why ME is still no democratized, lies in their side.

评分結尾真夠諷刺的。1918年在大馬士革居民歡呼聲中入城的一個英國人，31年後九死一生地逃離瞭那個城市， 英法的委任統治終結，留下遍地瘡痍和仇恨。而當年和他同車入城的同僚早就說過Salvation comes from within a nation...So long as she permits outsiders to teach or preach in her boundaries, so surely is she an inferior nation.
