After reading Lawrence in Arab, i transferred to read this book. The middle east history is amazing, and sometimes, pathetic. this books displays to us that, in addtion to France and uk's collonialism in africa and asia, they also did a lots of evil wicked collonialism in middle east. the reason why ME is still no democratized, lies in their side.

同样是写赛克斯-皮克斯协定（英法瓜分中东地区），斯科特.安德森两句话就抓住了重点，并且牢牢的抓住你的注意力。一切都是谎言和愚行。 而巴尔先生却显得学究气十足，不仅自己深深的陷入到史实的层层迷雾中，而且也对读者带来了负面的阅读情绪。他似乎没有学到te劳伦斯的精髓，...  

当我读着一本书时，会被这世界哪里冒出来的一声爆炸、一阵枪响打断，好奇如我就放下书本去读读新闻。重新拿起书来，发现在阅读的这书竟跟这些爆炸、枪声、新闻扯得上关系。不妨说这也是种有趣的巧合。 这块沙洲，从我能听懂邢质斌的播音开始，就没消停过。这么巴掌一点大的弹丸...  

本书对中东乱局的切入点非常独特，讲述的不只是英法如何通过《赛克斯-皮科协定》如何肢解、瓜分奥斯曼帝国在中东的残骸，而更多是瓜分之后，两大强盗竟然继续勾心斗角，互相卑鄙龌龊地给对方使绊子，直接目的是不让对方的委任统治一帆风顺，更深远的目的是维持本国的大国地位和...
