馬剋·紐漢姆（Mark Newham）是英國記者，自由撰稿人，2004年北京新華社總部當過“專傢”潤色英語電訊稿，完成一年閤同。三年後，他又迴到北京。正值北京奧運，馬剋和另外十幾名外籍記者加入瞭新華社旗下的殘奧會新聞服務（PNS）團隊用英語采訪報道北京殘奧會。

Mark書中展現瞭類似於Top Gear中的英式幽默，就是竭盡所能的吐槽各種中國特色。這種幽默先是讓人覺得搞笑，但也會讓人反感，特別是吐槽兼帶人身攻擊的時候。

墨迹了二个多月终于零零散散地看完了。如果这本书出译本的话，直译成瘸腿猪和五环马戏场我倒觉得其意不表，不如来个更中式的--马克纽汉东游记之二十年目睹之央视怪状。--马克以他的价值观和世界观来理解神奇的东方的一切。 我们都知道，领导大都喜欢在自己办公室摆上一排精装...
