丹尼爾·埃弗裏特（Daniel L. Everett）

曾任伊利諾伊州立大學語言、文學與文化係主任，匹茲堡大學語言學係主任，現任本特利大學藝術與科學學院的院長。

語言學和人類學交織，喬姆斯基大概是真不懂什麼是簡單生活說簡單句子就好瞭，同時覺得與其呼籲文化的作用，不如說是更少“文化”束縛的結果。但因為政治不正確不敢說人“文化少”嗎？印象深的點：no baby talk，對待斷奶後的孩子像成人態度；multiple language channels including singing, humming, whistling, yelling等等，語法簡單不妨礙語言形式的多樣性；一些與生活環境相關的鮮活錶達；無創世神話；隻談自己親曆的事情；性禁忌很少，婚姻製度也很寬鬆；但pirahã人雖然在小群體裏親密快樂同時又極端保守排外。作者客觀呈現同時也是自己跌宕的宗教和科研經曆。因為這篇博文發現的書 http://neurolingua.blogspot.com/2015/10/blog-post_20.html?m=1&from=singlemessage&isappinstalled=0
