著者简介

Born and raised in Zambia, Dambisa Moyo has a Ph.D. in economics from Oxford University and a master's from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. A former consultant for the World Bank, Moyo worked at Goldman Sachs for eight years.

西方辐射的深度，非洲和南美，澳洲还有一些闷身发大财的轴心之外的国家，视角冷静轻轻的给出了很多在中央无法解决的问题，西方文明的吸引力和其普适性甚至其魅力，都在颓丧，更多的是其问题在积累，人的过程在抛洒

Aid入门书。前半部分很不错，易懂给我这种没有经济知识的人，后半部分不懂，好多数字好多不懂的名词。

3 reasons to read this book: 1- it tells you again great arguments can be simplistic, facts can be one-sided but nonetheless builds up a strong case; 2- it's a good (yet short) intro to the complex problem of development and aid; 3- it's written by a black woman, not by a white man.
