Stanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnatses. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys' detention center, Camp Green Lake, where the warden makes the boys "build character" by spending all day, every day, digging holes: 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep. 虽然没有青鸟，小王子之类的经典而发人深省，但是这本书也是一本励志的书吧，其实还是挺有意义的，也是标准低欧美文风写法，看惯了中文的儿童文学，看看这本也不错，消遣之外还是若有所获的，呵呵！

重溫童年迴憶。
评分將不同generation的故事，用細節和鋪墊交織在一起，主人公的友誼和沉默中爆發的勇氣讓人熱血沸騰。但稍魔幻和荒誕，讓人讀來有些不自然（對成人角色小醜化這點很像Roald Dahl)。一般吧。

评分I could not remember I did really read this novel when I found it searching other books. Then i remember what the story is about. It's about a little boy's interesting but hard experience . With his smart and strong minds, he finally got the secrets underground in the hole. I finally remember all of the content details. It's an interesting story.
