著者簡介

保羅•哈丁，美國作傢、音樂傢。他少年時代經常“在叢林中遊蕩”，對大自然有著深切的愛和體悟。後參與創建“Cold Water Flat”樂隊，擔任鼓手，曾在美國和歐洲巡迴演齣。他從小酷愛閱讀。當讀到卡洛斯•富恩特斯的《我們的土地》時，他突然感到“這纔是我要做的事”，從此萌發文學創作之念。他的首部小說《修補匠》原本默默無聞，卻憑藉其厚積薄發的文學內涵獲得2010年普利策小說奬。

其實說不上有多喜歡，但這樣靜下心來，慢慢讀這樣細細碎碎的文字，品味著淡淡憂傷的感情，遇見那些隱秘而偉大的人，窺視他們腦中發散流動的思維，這應該就是閱讀的意義，也是生命的意義，也是這本書的意義。

人之将死，思想很复杂怪诞，一些看似毫无关联的东西一起涌上心头。想家庭，思亲人。三代人的生活。老实说如果看电子版我早早的就会放弃这本书。看着挺累的，难理解，可能要等静下来的时候再读。亦或是普利策小说奖也不过如此，还是外国的文化不能理解。有待再次阅读后的感悟。
