評分故事情節很新穎，善良的Dolittle醫生學會瞭動物的語言，成為一名優秀的獸醫。他帶著寵物踏上非洲之旅去幫助生病的動物，一路上風波不斷，躲避瞭國王和海盜的追擊，也解救瞭漁夫和小男孩，最後在動物們無私的幫助下平安地返迴傢鄉。好人有好報，皆大歡喜的一個故事。推薦小學五六年級孩子閱讀。
