Art History: A critical introduction to its methods provides a lively and stimulating introduction to methodological debates within art history. 做完瞭presentation，這門課也快結束瞭……

藝術史方法論的梳理，不到250頁想要海納百川是不可能的，必須要有有選擇性同時不得不捨棄一些重要的代錶人物。想特意說一下作者在一開始講到沒有包含進去的重要藝術史傢的時候提到瞭貢布裏希和Banxadall兩個人不過恰恰從這裏能感受到一點作者的用心，貢布裏希不不像沃爾夫林，李格爾或者潘諾夫斯基這樣，一提到名字就馬上能聯想到相應的方法論（風格分析，圖像學等等）而Baxandall認為自己的領域主要是文化史。所以作者盡量選擇的是能在方法論上最有代錶意義的人和理論。讀到符號學的時候突然有種說不上來的空虛的感覺。這是自己的體驗，也是對藝術史學科發展的體驗
