劇情對白從簡、真實情感濃鬱；淡化個體、演繹群像；稀釋敵我對立、側重懸念鋪墊；正義並不能必勝、命運卻往往無常；拋棄掉傳統橋段和主流敘事、忠實於生死逃亡和掙紮求生；篇幅不多的作品、野心很大的實驗。哥倆訪談有乾貨，故事闆選輯引遐想。

劇本非常精簡，他想錶現每一個普通的人物，而各自的人設在他們的每一句颱詞，每一個動作裏，除此之外沒有一句多餘的描述。唯有farrier，在他轉身戰鬥之前導演寫，“heading for Dover，for home”，他傾注瞭一些感情給這個人物，湯甜沒有辜負這份感情，演的很好。
